Defence procurement is often seen as complex and challenging for smaller firms (SMEs) to access. To help turn this around, the Ministry of Defence (MOD) established Commercial X – designed to speed up the adoption of innovation and technology and make it easier for smaller firms to work with Defence.

Commercial X is focused on breaking down barriers for smaller suppliers by designing commercial solutions and marketplaces that help them identify opportunities, bid more effectively, and bring cutting edge technology into Defence.
